Cala Ratjada is one of the truly delightful resorts in Majorca. I would say that it’s no wonder why it has become very popular with Northern European tourists. I think that it is a shame that more British visitors do not frequent this lovely resort as it has a lot to offer. There are many luxury hotels as well as affordable hotels available to visitors choosing this resort for their holidays in Majorca.
Cala Ratjada is located on the north-east coast of Majorca, approximately one hour and fifteen minutes from the Palma de Mallorca airport.
This relaxed resort, was formerly a village, but it has largely expanded and boasts several lovely beaches. The south beach is called Playa Son Moll and the larger is called Cala Aguilla(Cala Guya)and in between is a smaller cove called Cala Gat. All beaches are within walking distance from the resort.

The promenade that stretches from Son Moll all the way to the harbour offers a great selection of restaurants and cafes. If you enjoy fresh fish and seafood, you really must try the restaurants situated in the harbour. The dinners are absolutely mouth-watering delicious.

If you feal like a day out on a boat, you could explore another of the Balearic Islands, Menorca. With exception of Tuesday, there is a ferry that leaves the harbour daily to Menorca, departing in the morning and returning in the early evening. I would suggest you take a light jacket or jumper and lots of sunscreen for this trip.
