Cala Millor is located on the East coast of Majorca and has one of the best beaches on the island. Travel time from the airport is approximately 1 hour. With the recent upgrades to the highways and by-passes around Manacor and Sant Llorenç de Cardessa, travel time has been reduced. Another by-pass has just started in the spring of 2010 and this will detour traffic around Son Servera thus eliminating having to drive through the one way traffic system in this town. Update, Spring 2011: The rail link between Manacor and Arta is been re-established after many years of been closed. This will give all of the local towns and villages including Cala Millor access to the rail link from Manacor to Palma. The new trains are due for delivery in March 2011 and the relaying of the tracks is well under way. The resort of Cala Millor is continually been improved to meet the requirements of the tourist. New cycle and pedestrian paths have been built and a local bus now runs from Son Servera, Costa de los Pinos, Cala Bona an Cala Millor. This bus runs very hour and is very popular on a Friday morning when the local market of Son Servera is held. Times of this market are 10.00 to 13.00 and the stalls are spread out throughout the streets of the town.
